I saw this piece of wood eight months ago and had been planning to make a coffee table with it. I had the idea that combining one leg made from the wood itself with two “spider legs” from Semi Exact would produce something with a nice, dynamic feel.
The result is what you see, with the legs giving the front of the table a bit of an animalistic feel (from some angles they look like little arms/front legs of a crouched creature).
And then from the top you can see the gorgeous figure of the maple from Alderfer Lumber.

p.s. The shape reminds me a bit of the state of Michigan.
