Double Maple Coffee Table, Brass Legs

We needed a coffee table for the new house, to fit in an L-shaped space. The wood is Box Elder, and the red streaks you see are the result of insect infestation; it makes the whole piece beautifully figured and variegated.

It’s two tables not one.

And the first one fits under the second one.

The taller of the two tables has a waterfall leg, held on with two walnut dowels driven/glued through the corner thanks to a Rockler corner dowel jig (the ends are the two dark brown ovals you see here).
